CEOS

CEOS AT-A-GLANCE:
The West Virginia Community Educational Outreach Service (WVCEOS) has a strong CEOS tradition of education, service, and community development, dating back to 1914 when the first club (Farm Women’s Club in Ohio County) was established. The West Virginia University Extension Service provides support to the organization through county and state faculty. Extension faculty members serve as advisors to local groups and the state board and develop WVCEOS program topics on timely issues. Program areas of emphasis include: preserving the environment, building family strengths, and increasing awareness of our global interdependence.

The site for WVU Extension CEOS. has lots of good material, plus online CEOS Publications. Also available are Health Motivator Materials.

Purposeful Reading Program
One of the aims of the WVCEOS is to promote the Purposeful Reading Program, a program that will provide a greater appreciation of good literature, open up new fields of interest, and widen horizons. Members may participate by reading books from the recommended list.
