Weirton Medical Center reminds everyone to eat healthy to stay healthy. The hospital encourages purchasing local produce from the local farmers market as one way to eat healthy.



Most vendors at all three markets accept the WVDA Senior Farm Market vouchers and the WVDHHR WIC Farm Market vouchers. Contact your local Senior Center or WIC Office:

Farmers Market Guidelines


Registration to sell at the market is easy! Simply download the forms and return it to us. We will be in touch with further details. Our address to return the form is PO Box 457 New Cumberland, WV 26047 or email it to us!

Locally grown also means that the late May freeze killed many local apple, peach, pear and other fruit blossoms. Apples and other fall fruits will be in short supply.


Farmers Market Vendors are required to participate in training courses. These training courses are available throughout the northern panhandle counties in as well as one training session being offered at WVU in Morgantown, WV. Training includes farm and harvesting safety, WV Department of Agriculture special programs, High tunnels and extending the season, Value-added crops, Marketing and advertising, customer service and much more.

With over 30 vendors supplying seasonal produce, you're sure to find everything you want for healthier living while supporting the local growers of our community.

Weirton Farmers Market
The Weirton Farmers Market is preparing for it's 6th selling season this summer. It's located in the Walmart parking lot on Three Springs Drive. It operates on Mondays from 3:00pm-6:00pm. It is open in 2007 from July 9th - October 8th.

Chester Farmers Market
The Chester Farmers Market will be beginning it's third selling season this summer. It's located in the parking lot of the Chester City Building. It operates on Thursdays from 4:00pm-6:00pm from July 19th - October 25th.

Follansbee Farmers Market
This market is located next to the Follansbee City Building on every other Wednesday from 4-6pm. It will start on July 18, Aug 1, 15 and 29, Sept 12 and 26 and October 10 and 24.
