Many issues may make the Axim not work exactly as we would hope. Here are some sites that may shed some light on the particular issue you may having.

To do a "soft reset" of the Axim, look on the left side and you will see two indentations. Use the stylus to press the second indentation. You may even be able to read the word reset.
