For over 70 years, the members of Jefferson County Community Educational Outreach Service Clubs have had a rich history of community involvement here in Jefferson County. We began in 1933 and have operated under many names; Farm Women, Home Demonstration, Extension Homemakers and finally our new name in the late 1990's. The goal of the clubs has always been to educate and offer programs that would benefit not only individual members, but the community as well, striving to make Jefferson County a better place to live. The CEOS clubs have come a long way from their beginnings as Farm Women. The programs have changed over the years to meet the changing needs of not only the members, but the community. Our first program in 1933 was "Give the world the best you have and the best will come back to you". This has certainly proved to be true and a standard to which we strive to obtain.
