Cornelia became a part of the Jefferson County Office in 2000 to pilot the Family Nutrition Education Program. The program, designed to encourage adults toward better nutrition practices and healthier lifestyles, has been well recieved in the community and is currently expanding to include children in the programming. The "Eat Smart, Be Smart" Nutrition Program will present the Mealtime Connection to families.

Cornelia has been instrumental in developing this special opportunity for enhanced programming to include the whole family. The Mealtime Connection will focus on the importance of family meals while emphasizing nutrition and physical activity.
